Folk + pop + rock + voces suaves =

“The Wind (that blows here)”, “On my belly”, “Elliott”, “Every light here”, “Sooner or later”, todas tiene algo que las hace especiales.

ROCCO bring us XXI century rock-folk

Soon you are well informed about the spanish indie scene, you've heard or read about ROCCO, a quartet from Dénia (Alicante) that focuses on sounds near-folk rock that occurs in the mountain states of the United States and Canada and its obtained a more excellent reviews with his first recording.

You may even be one of the privileged owners of one of the few copies of the first self publishing limited edition of the CD.

These early copies have had a presence at key points in the independent scene as prestigious as the "39 Sonidos" at Onda Uno, "Toxicosmos" at UPV Radio, "La Isla de Encanta" at Radio Circulo, "Delicatessen" at iCat FM, Scanner FM, "Islas de Robinson" at Radio 3 or even a top number 1 in the Mondo Sonoro Valencia Magazine.

In Flor y Nata Records could not let an album like this to remain a delicacy only for a small elite of electeds. The world had to know (and for that we have with you) and here are our issue with respect to 100% content such as ROCCO wanted to reach its audience from the first time.

Rarely a debut album has been so lauded

ROCCO arise in Dénia (Alicante) in the summer of 2009, initially to participate in the Festival Flexi Verbal Dénia, although the experience was so positive that a few months already had a repertoire of his own songs and a good list concert. This is how two components from Astronaut: Eduardo Guzman (guitar and vocals) and Rafa Peiró (bass), plus two from Gomoso: Javi Martínez (guitar and vocals) and Jaime Puig (drums) have shaped one of the groups more projection of the current indie scene.

Folk + pop + rock + soft voices = crist & fresh songs

His music blends nicely with folk and pop rock elements and results in a crisp, cool songs. A soft voices accompanied by a manicured instrumentation flow through some songs sung in English, and influenced, as discussed by CSN & Y, Simon & Garfunkel, Elliott Smith, Wilco, Calexico, Fleet Foxes, Deerhunter & Sufjan Stevens and others.

The album, which is called as the band is a breath of fresh air, an album to listen to (if possible) outdoors, feeling the wind in your face driving a convertible or on a sun lounger on the terrace, evoking, as the song, snowy mountains or a endless wheat fields.

There are twelve songs recorded in Atomic studies in Denia produced by Rocco and Mark Dasousa who helped the band in keyboards, Andrea De Pascual (vocals) and Javi Torres (viola), of which it is difficult to highlight any ... "The Wind (that blows here)," "On my belly", "Elliott", "Every light here," "Sooner or later," all have something that makes them special.

Folk + pop + rock + veus suaus =
cançons nítides i fresques

"The Wind (that blows here)", "On my belly", "Elliott", "Every light here", "Sooner or later", totes té alguna cosa que les fa especials.

Track Name: Every light here
EVERY LIGHT HERE, I’M COMING
IN THE DISTANCE, I’M COMING
EVERY LIGHT HERE, I’M COMING
IN THE DISTANCE, I’M COMING

One better hell than we know, come to the party for my soul
Into the dance, next to the shore, drunk naked bodies one by one

I feel she’s there; she will carry all my thoughts
From the shadows, here she comes…
Track Name: Ok
OK

Oh dad
What you reserve for me?
I’m starting to find out the terrorists are gone.

Ok
All you’ll miss someday
Are just the things you have now.
I’m starting to find out the devil lists are lost
Now you’re praying to god for all the things you’ve done.

One day it will fall apart.
One day you will try to run.
You will be the prey for hunters.
You’ll have to look back.

Obey,
You’ll be someone someday.
Listen to the sun when you doubt.
You’re starting to find out the terrorists are gone.
Now you’re praying to god for all the things you’ve done.
Track Name: The wind (That blows here)
THE WIND (THAT BLOWS HERE)

The wind that blows here
is howling at a black horse.
With helping hands
the things that hurt are gone.

The wind that blows here
is howling down hogwash.
It’s bending sands.
The things that hurt are gone.

Over places I’ve never heard.
All the fears now are gone.
All these places I’ve never heard
are the places we want to know.

The wind that blows here
is bringing our last hope.
It’s mending time.
The things that hurt are gone.

Over places I’ve never heard.
All the fears now are gone.
All these places I’ve never heard
are the places we want to know.

Nanana,… And it’s carrying horns of plenty.
Nanana…. And it’s taking down our empty lives.
Track Name: I was happier
I WAS HAPPIER

Drinking was a funny game
Until I knew I’d never see you
Dreams where a waterfall
Let me feel your hand but it pushed me back

I was happier when I met you
Cause I’d never felt those things before
No more coincidence, no more repentance
Although I’ll never feel those things no more

And they’re ghosts, and they are lost,
Since the day we were born (X2)

And this time, we are younger, and we still wonder

Drinking was funny then
Until I knew I’d never hear you
Dreams where a waterfall
Let me feel your hand it but pushed me back

I was happier when I met you
Cause I’d never felt those things before
No more coincidence, no more repentance
Although I’ll never feel those things no more

And they’re ghosts, and they are lost,
Since the day we were born (X2)

And this time, we are younger, and we still wonder
Track Name: Elliott
ELLIOTT

I wanna make it, sure
I’m gonna make it.
Bring these lambs to my temple.
All the preachers inside out
All the preachers upside down
They’re down about it
I feel this pride, you and me will fly away

This time I’m doing right
I wrote my sermon
Drive these minds to the sunrise
All the preachers inside out
All the preachers upside down
Understand it
I feel this pride, gonna take you down, away

You gotta leave home
You gotta leave hospitals and heal
You gotta pay more
Somebody has come, don’t stay away.
Track Name: On my belly
ON MY BELLY

Everyday you try to wash all your sins
While this washing machine is pouring down.
You’ll never know when you’ll go with the storm.
I’m still hearing the wolves in this town.

Years with your bread while your beds are burning
Four of your kids where the birds are landing.
In this town, it’s pouring down.

Hey baby it’s late, why don’t you go to sleep?
Please don’t fear, i’ll be here when the sun goes down.
You’ll never know where you left that old rope.
There are still too many ghosts in this town.

Years with your bread while your beds are burning
Four of your kids where the birds are landing.
In this town, it’s pouring down.

I’ve felt some things like these before
You were sleeping, your hands were cold.
On my belly, uhhh
Track Name: Dressed up in white
DRESSED UP IN WHITE

I don’t know if you are here to stay, I don’t mind.
Things went cold but I don’t know when.

You just want to feel the same one last time.
My friends are gone but I don’t know where.

We escape at night.
When it’s over, we will be in another life.
All the words we said
Seem so faraway now.
Dressed up in white
for the ceremony, it’s hard to finish now.
All the things we felt
Seem so faraway now.

I don’t know if I even send that postcard.
All goes on, but it don’t go well.
Track Name: Not worrying yet
NOT WORRYING YET

Not worrying yet
While you’re drown
Now you’re sleeping well
Now your body burns

Notes from hell
Still return
Now your skin is red
Now your body burns

Could be someone else
Could be safe from harm
Inside
If you say my name
You will save your life
This time

Did you realize
That nothing changes
In your real life?
Did you realize
That we’re going to hell?
It’s your real life
Out of this time

Notes from hell
Still return
Now your skin is red
Now your body burns

Could be someone else
Could be safe from harm
Inside
If you say my name
You will save your life
This time
Track Name: Fall of'95
FALL OF'95

LEFT TO MY OWN DEVICES,
I TRIED TO GET SOME SLEEPING PILLS.
I PHONED THAT FRIEND OF MINE
AND HE CONVINCED ME TO WORK HERE.

FALL OF 95,
WE SIT ON WALLS THAT YOU CAN’T SEE.
WHEN YOU TURN OFF THE LIGHTS
WE FEEL LIKE DISTANCE DISAPPEARS.

WE LIVE BETWEEN HOT COALS AND FIRE.
THE WIND THAT LET ME HERE WILL SHAKE THIS TOWN AROUND.
WE LIVE AND REST LIKE LEAVES ON THE GROUND.
THE WIND THAT LET ME HERE WILL SHAKE THIS TOWN AROUND.

SHE’S AT HOME TONIGHT.
NOW SHE IS MINE I KNOW THAT SHE CAN’T SEE
WHEN SHE TURNS OFF THE LIGHTS
I FEEL LIKE DISTANCE DISAPPEARS.

WE LIVE BETWEEN HOT COALS AND FIRE.
THE WIND THAT LET ME HERE WILL SHAKE THIS TOWN AROUND.
WE LIVE AND REST LIKE LEAVES ON THE GROUND.
THE WIND THAT LET ME HERE WILL SHAKE THIS TOWN AROUND.
Track Name: Sooner or later
SOONER OR LATER

“I don’t want to lose my mind” - you said in anger
“Better walk alone but steady and sure”
“I don’t want to feel that grief again, it’s painful,
Sooner or later rain will have to fall”

“Love you tonight but tomorrow I won’t”
Those were the words that she said
But in the end it was you who had failed

“Before space and time can put a weary smile on us
I think I’ll let you win, please go and run”
“I don’t want to feel that grief again, it’s painful
Sooner or later rain will have to fall”

“Love you tonight but tomorrow I won’t”
Those were the words that she said
But in the end it was you who had failed
Track Name: The wrong position
THE WRONG POSITION

Every time you try to talk about the way that we hold
the wrong position,
It’s hard to notice you ask for help.
So, what have you done?

Every time you try to talk about the things that you’ve done
There are contradictions.
Then we notice there’s no end
When nothing starts.

And you think you know how
But the message seems wrong now.
I’ve seen in your face,
It will happen once again.
So, try to be conscious, man.
There are things you will never find out

Every time you try to talk about the plans that you’ve got,
Your mystic visions
Something happens to your will
So, what have you lost?

Every time you try to talk about the days that you lost
with indecisions
Then we notice there’s no end
When nothing starts.

And you think you know how
But the message seems wrong now.
I’ve seen in your face,
It will happen once again.
So, try to be conscious, man.
There are thigs you will never find out.
Track Name: Like a drum
LIKE A DRUM

Like a drum that brings the rain
old impressions softly call your name
but the spikes that skirt the rails
Say you won’t be back again...

We walk down and rolling on...
We walk down and rolling on...

Like a boat without compass
We continue wandering aimlessly
Where the road becomes to lane.
We’re getting lost again.

We walk down and rolling on...
We walk down and rolling on...
…and rolling on…
…and rolling on…
…and rolling on…
…and rolling on…
